Tim Wenisch

Our coach Tim, also known as “the machine”, is our absolute Hyrox and running specialist. As a studied sports scientist he knows exactly how to put theory into practice to increase the performance of each individual. With his positive manner he motivates not only competitive athletes to go beyond their limits but also teaches beginners and advanced athletes the fun of sports and exercise. As an excellent endurance athlete, he is also very experienced in racing bike, swimming and cross-country skiing training.

  • 1998-2008

His affinity for sports has been an important part of him since childhood. In addition to the sporting classics such as soccer and tennis, Tim was drawn relatively quickly to endurance sports.

  • 2014

Track and field was always more in focus, along with the other sports. In addition to smaller successes at the regional level, Tim was able to achieve his first major success at the Swabian championship over 800m.

  • 2014-2015

After that, the training was more and more focused on the middle distance of athletics and he completed competitions of 800-3000m. Here he successfully passed through various state squads. His greatest success he celebrated, in addition to Bavarian title, at the German Championship over 3000m, where he ran a good 8th place.

  • 2018

After a smaller break from competition, he accidentally became aware of a new trend sport which was then called “Currox” (now “Hyrox”). Tim immediately tried his hand at the Pro category in 2018 and surprisingly qualified for the World Championships in Oberhausen, where he won the World Championship title in the 16-24 age group.

  • 2020

After a break due to Corona, he attacked again in 2020 and was able to qualify for the age group world championships in Leipzig via a virtual competition. There he successfully defended his title and ran the best time of the day with a time under 60 minutes. No other athlete in the elite category was faster.

  • 2021-2022

After that, Hyrox’s career really took off. In addition to several international event victories, he finally qualified for the Elite World Championships in Las Vegas. There he finished as the best German 4, which was an excellent performance from him

  • 2022-2023

The season 2022/2023 was Tim’s best season so far – besides event wins and a second place at the European Championships, he was able to set 2 double world records, AG world record and European record. He successfully qualified for the Elite World Championships in Manchester, but unfortunately could not compete due to an injury.
